What is the legal drinking age in Asia?

It's not uncommon to see bars on Bangkok's famous Khao San Road with signs advertising, "We don't check IDs."

Welcome to Southeast Asia, where you will soon find that almost anything is possible. Although Thailand has a minimum drinking age of 20, this is rarely enforced and as a tourist you can buy alcohol at any age.

Whether this is a good thing or not is a discussion for another day.
