What is the full form of the web

You cannot view a web page in full web page format or as web archive format of a single file in Internet Explorer 8

Note:The Internet Explorer 11 desktop application will be retired and will no longer be supported on June 15, 2022 (see Frequently Asked Questions for a list of areas). The same IE11 apps and websites you use today can be opened in Microsoft Edge Internet Explorer mode. More information can be found here.

Problem Description

You click Save As on the File menu to save a Web page as Web Page As Complete (* .htm; *. html) or as a web archive, single file (* .mht) in Windows Internet Explorer 8. However, you cannot save the web page and you receive the following error message:

This website could not be saved.

For example, you receive this error message when you try to view the following webpage as a full webpage in your Internet Explorer 8:

http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2009/11/18/an-early-look-at-ie9-for-developers.aspx

root cause

When Internet Explorer 8 tries to save web pages in one of the following formats, various URLs and anchor links must be updated:

  • Full website

  • Web archive for a single file

If an anchor does not have an href property, the packaging code exits before the save process is complete. As a result, the save will fail and you will not be able to save the web page.
