Amuse is good for music distribution

How can I make changes to a release that is already being sold in the shops?

Important: We are currently unable to add, delete, or edit artist roles or contributors.

Once a release has been paid for and delivered to the shops, we cannot guarantee that all shops will make the desired changes.

What changes cannot be completed after a release is distributed to the digital stores?

You have TWO OPTIONS regarding release changes:

OPTION 1: Remove your current release and publish a new version

  • This is recommended because it ensures that the change will be made in every shop.
  • This is a mandatory action and cannot be undone.
  • You have to re-register the release and pay again for the distribution (we can NOT reimburse you for the cost of removing your release).
  • Your release receives a new UPC code because it is formally a new product. However, if you have your own optional ISRCs or want to use the TuneCore ISRCs again, you can use them again for the same tracks.
  • Each shop permanently deletes all reviews and comments of the original UPC as well as the shop playlist that contains this UPC.

Remove content

OPTION 2: change your current release

  • This method is not recommended because we cannot guarantee that the changes will be made in all shops.
  • We'll send you an email with instructions if you'd like to edit your design, audio changes, and place your content again.
  • iTunes and Amazon will generally make changes, but this can take up to two (2) weeks.
  • Other stores take weeks or months to make changes (if any).
